Its a typical beautiful day in sunny California and day two of Challenge No.2.
While I drive into Ellen's design workshop I was T-boned as I made my way onto a LA freeway. It was a heavy hit! In fact the car was a complete rite off as the chassis was twisted! It was good by to my Lexus IS-F. I have to thank the auto maker as I was told the reinforced doors prevented a much worse result.
The first car accident I have ever been in 30 years! They say that the experience happens in slow motion - its true. I remember the airbag opening slowly and watched a piece of glass slowly fly across in front of me, like a scene from the matrix thinking thats cool. While I was getting pushed across the intersection towards the curb I thought HELL I have to get back to set to finish Katie's furniture piece! I still have cutting, sanding, CNC work etc. to get finished in order to take her to the next level.
So after a ride in the ambulance to the hospital, I was fortunate to get just six stitches above my eye, a few sore ribs and fingers. I was picked up and taken to set where the on site paramedic eventually cleared me to work. Here are some pics :)
Darn it! I loved that car :)
But hey, it was all worth it in the end :)
